![]() Since my treatment was in the middle of the day, I just added a little downtime post spa, before leaving, especially since as a I mentioned, I didn’t have as much time beforehand as I normally like. You have access to the facilities until they close. This hallway of sorts (its more room than hallway) is STUNNING. ![]() Photo: EncoreĪs you are escorted from the main waiting room, you are shown through a doorway into another hallway area, which all of the treatment rooms are off of. This is always why I have my own way of rating spas. But this is why I am not in charge of ratings for Forbes. Instead, I am watching a therapist go to several other individuals before she gets to me. If the therapist could just come out and say my name out loud we would be on our way to MY treatment. It’s nice in theory, but I just don’t understand why it’s required for a rating, because honestly, it’s kind of annoying to me as a guest. It is true that for a 5 star rating by Forbes, the therapists are supposed to walk up to each guest personally and in no more than a whisper, say the guest’s name. As therapists walk in the room, people look in anticipation that maybe their name will be called. Its always funny to me how the excitement builds as a and hour or half hour draws near and number of people of gathered for their spa treatment. Here is where your therapist will meet you before and drop you off after your treatments This was the perfect spa for me to chill (and let’s face a little people watching, cause that’s always fun). It has some couches as well as some lounge chairs. The main waiting area for Encore Spa was comfortable enough. Unfortunately my schedule that day was a little tight and I didn’t have as much time pre-spa appointment time as I would have liked. It did look like a nice spot, if you manage to spend some time there. It looked like a nice spot to relax and spend some time, but on this particular day it looked a little crowded and so I opted for the main relaxation area. There is an area to relax and experienced the whirlpools. In no time at all, I was being escorted back to the women’s locker area.Īfter getting my robe, slippers, and quick tour of the facilities I was ready to RELAX! Thermal Waters There is the main reception area for the spa and a boutique. Here I had a moment to just relax and look around the vast area. ![]() As I checked-in, and I was handed a chocolate to enjoy while I waited for the spa attendant to come an get me. In this case, at the Encore you get the full experience just walking up the casino as the pool complex entrance is there, and people were all lined up on a Thursday in September.īut eventually I found the oasis I was looking for – Encore Spa. ![]() Its funny how each casino in Las Vegas has a different vibe, and you definitely experience it as you meander through the casino getting to the spa’s location. Luckily, their sister spa, the Spa at the Encore was available. So I just decided I would wait until I have an opportunity to visit again. I knew I wouldn’t get the full experience while under renovations. Recently, I had a conference that was at Venetian. Since I was right in the neighborhood of the Wynn, it was a great opportunity for me to try it. Unfortunately, at the time, the Spa at the Wynn was undergoing some renovations. The in-suite experience last three and a half hours for $700 per person on weekends and $600 per person on weekdays, and concludes with a bento box lunch. The Wynn is consistently been ranked as one of the best spas in Las Vegas, so naturally it’s been on my #spabucketlist for a while. Starting with a body exfoliation and wrap treatment, guests go into a private steam shower and then return to the treatment table for a hot stone massage and acupressure head massage. Along with Time Rituals and Hammam and Rhassoul packages, the most luxurious treatment is the Qi Balancing Journey which is a detoxifying spa ritual performed in one of their Spa Dragon Suites. Guests can enjoy a comprehensive experience to soothe the five senses, comprised of calming herbal teas, blissful music, aromatic scents, luxurious décor and indulgent treatments. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental embraces a Shanghai 1930s design scheme, evoking a sleek, warm and opulent Art Deco elegance with indigenous elements of a rich Chinese culture.
